…and I’m not talking about Cannabis (lol), although you can grow that here in LA.
But, I am talking about herbs. Fresh, powerful, potent, antibiotic, anti-fungal, antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory herbs. Nothing you haven’t heard of.
Oregano, for instance, is powerful medicine and delicious too. Garlic is a potent antibiotic. Rosemary is a powerful anti-inflammatory herb. Cilantro removes heavy metals from the body. The list goes on and on.
So, the prescription is simple and tasty. ADD MORE fresh herbs to your diet.
Pick off the small oregano leaves and add them to soup, pasta, and sandwiches. Chop raw cilantro and add it to everything! Unless you’re like my husband and hate cilantro (can you imagine?!)
Chop green onions and add them to your salad, soup, rice, quinoa, and pasta dishes.
When it comes to herbs, FRESH IS BEST. So buy fresh herbs, or better yet, plant an herb box or herb garden. You don’t need much room for an herb garden, a 4×4-foot box will do.
Enjoy fresh herbs every day for great health!

…is how we move the energy through our machine.
We are an extraordinary technology, a God technology.
Our intricate systems are amazing, from the nervous system to the endocrine system to the digestive system to the neural cognitive system. I mean, really, how incredibly fascinating are the operations of our bodies?!
So first, just take a moment to celebrate yourself. Without doing anything, you are absolutely incredible.
When we study and observe the physical body, it can bring us great awareness. But, I think it’s also important to observe and study the subtle or energetic body.
I knew this was true years ago after the very first time I did a Tai Chi form (another word for routine, if you’re not familiar).
Tai Chi is well-known to balance energy and reduce stress, but that doesn’t sum up its power. I learned a form from a visiting instructor at a Karate class, and the slow, intentional movements, combined with breath, made me feel like running. It felt as though the movements, like a broom, had swept and pushed away clogged energy from my joints, leaving me pulsing with energy! My body felt cleared of stagnant energy in a way I had never experienced from yoga, Pilates, dance, or any other martial art, all of which I love doing.
This Tai Chi form is a tool in my toolbox for healthy, happy living, so I wanted to share it with you. Here is a GREAT VIDEO I found on the form I cherish so much.
Our energetic body needs deliberate movements for us to feel our most energized, creative, and focused. While certainly, physical movement can clear our subtle body, some physical movements may contribute to greater stress on the body and energetic field. So, enjoy the active stillness of this nourishing practice.
To Your Health,
That’s right, teeny tiny, somewhat hairy broccoli sprouts have around 500 times the nutrition of the mature plant.
How could this be?
Well, those thin, flexible sprout shoots have to be powerful enough to charge through the dense soil to get to sunlight. So, nature packed them with power.
Fortunately, we can harness this power easily with a jar sprouting method.
Simply measure out a tablespoon of broccoli seeds, place them in a ball sprouting jar, and cover with water overnight. Drain off water and rinse a time or two. Leave the draining lid side down as to drain your sprouts. Rinse every day for five days.
The sprouts will have very tiny, fine, white hair-like looking things. This is totally normal, and it’s not mold. However, always smell check your sprouts to make sure no unwanted bacteria has contaminated them. If sprouts smell fresh, they are. If they have a slight funk, they didn’t get rinsed or drained enough and aren’t good. However, one good rinse a day is all you need to make terrific sprouts.
Sprouts are one of those very fresh and fragile foods that are better to make than buy packaged, and it’s really quite easy. Put the kids on it! They’ll love it! AND, if they help to make them, they will want to eat them!
To Your Health,
Understanding how to eat to serve your skin and health is powerful. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, don’t miss this!

There are many methods for cleansing our organs. I’ve struggled with many of them. Juice cleansing is powerful, but challenging to stick to and not always necessary or beneficial depending on the individual. Packaged herb cleansers can be terrific, but are expensive and can make you rush to the bathroom in pain. No one likes that. A raw food cleanse for 2 or 3 weeks is totally beneficial for most, but certainly has it’s challenges, especially if you are kitchen impaired or have a social life.
I was so thrilled to discover The Clean In 14 Detox book by Karma Chow’s Melissa Costello. Her cleanse is based on simple and delicious plant foods with the unique approach of including cooked foods in the detox program. I’m from a raw food background and mistakenly thought that organs can only be flushed and cleansed from a cleanse-diet of raw plant foods. Raw or living foods are a big part of any healthy lifestyle and any cleanse protocol, but it doesn’t have to be the entire plan.
The Clean In 14 Detox program by Melissa Costello allows you to EAT all the colorful amazing food you want, so you always feel nourished and satisfied, and still get all the wonderful results of a cleanse. Her recipes are superb and her guidance along the way opens you up to discover the very best version of you.
Watch to learn the Green With Envy Smoothie and why I really LOVE this book.

Everybody loves a win win, this recipe definitely delivers that. The rich mineral profile or organic raw cacao bitterly delights the palate. I feel my bones and blood getting stronger when I enjoy this creamy dreamy fresh pressed cacao milk.
I’m using Ojio raw organic cacao beans and raw almonds...and the best vanilla powder on earth!

If I told you one food that would support your health like no other, would you eat it on a regular basis?
What if I told you that special food only takes about 20 minutes to make and will feed you for 2 weeks on a second’s notice, would you make it?
….Oh, and it costs about $8…total…for 2 weeks of amazing nutrition.
The profoundly supportive food I’m speaking of is fermented veg! That’s right, good ol’ fermented vegetables.
I knew for a long time that fermented foods were an important part of a healthy diet….yet, I didn’t make them because I didn’t understand how. I watched several videos on how to make my own sauerkraut, but it didn’t work. I ruined a couple batches and gave up.
Then….my dear friend and holistic health coach, Christina Afentoulis, said, “I’ll show you how!” Fermented vegetables are in all of her protocols for patients. They are a profound component in our body’s ability to self-heal, and they are actually very quick and easy to make.
One thing we forgot to mention in the video is that the brine from the previous batch will culture the new batch. So, for your first batch you will use a culture starter, which cost between $20-30 for a box of several starter pouches. The super cool thing is you don’t need to use a new culture pouch for every batch. You can simply take 3 or 4 Tbsp of the previous batch brine and add it to the new brine after the first blend, and there you have a new culture starter without opening a new pouch, it’s FREE!
More good news: There is no need to make the new batch the same day you harvest the current batch. Simply take the brine from the glass jars you store your fermented vegetables in, in the fridge.
There’s more fermented fun coming up! We will show you how to make pickles and super yummy fruit kvass. Stay tuned.

Hi Dear Ones,
Is your sleep environment toxin free? Sounds like a silly question, but one worth asking in today’s petrochemical laden world. Changes are, if you’re sleeping on a conventional mattress, you are sleeping on chemicals I promise you aren’t necessary or optimal to interact with.
Take a look at this brief video to gain more awareness, so next time you purchase a mattress, you’ll buy organic!
